Glutarol will be familiar to many podiatrists as an over the counter treatment for plantar warts. It has been around for many years. Containing 10% Glutaraldehyde, it works as an antiviral and has a desiccating effect on wart tissue, being particularly useful for home treatment of plantar warts.
Dermal Laboratories, the company who market the product in the UK, has announced that it has discontinued from January this year. With a shelf life up to July 2022, it is expected that distributor stocks will be available up to the middle of summer.
