British Dermatological Nursing Group
(for Podiatrists & Nurses)

If you are podiatrist/chiropodists registered in the UK, you are eligible to join the Dermatological Nursing Group (BDNG) which is a professional interest group for nurses, podiatrists and other healthcare practitioners who are interested in dermatology. In 2008, the former UK Podiatric Dermatology Association, a special interest group for podiatrists became part of the BDNG.
Membership and subscription includes the quarterly journal "Dermatological Nursing" along with reduced rates to the annual conference held in June each year. The journal covers a wide range of topics and regularly features podiatry based articles as well as ones on general dermatology.

American Society for Foot and Ankle Dermatology
(for Podiatrists)
As of 2016, the American Society of Foot and Ankle Dermatology is opening it membership to UK Podiatrists. As a friend of ASFAD, you can register and get full access to the website and get the annual conference at a reduced rate. Membership will include a monthly newsletter.

Primary Care Dermatology Society

The PCDS was founded in 1994, by a group of GP's interested in dermatology. The group has now grown to over 3000 members and holds meeting nationally across the whole of the UK. They have a fantastic quarterly bulletin which is online. Although podiatrists are not able to join as members, the y frequently hold dermatology meetings (including introductory sessions called Essential dermatology" meetings) across the UK which can be attended. The British Hair & Nail Society
The British Hair and Nail Society is an established group for anyone interested in diseases of hair and nails. The group has a varied membership and accepts Podiatrist as members. In addition to meetings they have a news letter and hold other events. More information can be found here.
