About Dr Markinson 

Dr. Markinson is a graduate of the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed a Podiatric surgical residency at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and affiliated hospitals after which he trained as a Fellow in Podiatric Medicine at the same institution. Dr Markinson received additional training in podiatric pathology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, in the division of Dermatopathology, under the direction of W. Clark Lambert, MD, PhD. 

He is currently Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Instructor, Dept. of Dermatologic Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr Markinson’s special areas of interest are podiatric skin diseases and tumours, including early diagnosis of pedal melanoma and fungal diseases of the skin and nails, and pedal dermatitis.
