About The Event

Outline

This event, delivered by award-winning author, Dr. Jonathan Bowling, gives an insight into the dermoscopy of foot and ankle lesions beyond the basic level. The event is run as three sessions on Saturdays, lasting approximately an hour each. 

PLEASE NOTE: These presentations were originally delivered to podiatrists in the United Kingdom earlier this year, but are now being re-run live in the morning (UK time) to allow colleagues in Australia and New Zealand to join as well as UK colleagues who may not have attended the original presentations.

The ticket price includes access to all three live sessions:

Saturday 7th August - Dermoscopy of Acral Naevi

Saturday 28th August - Dermoscopy of Foot and Ankle Lesions

Saturday 4th September - Dermoscopy of Acral Melanoma

All sessions start at:

10 AM (UK time)

7 PM Australian Eastern Standard Time

9 PM New Zealand and run for about an hour. 

This is a live, online event.

Cost

The cost to attend the three sessions is £50 pounds. 

Tickets for individual sessions are not available.

 

About the Speaker: 

Dr. Bowling is a Consultant Dermatologist and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Dr. Bowling has 20 years of experience in the field of dermatology within the NHS including as a Consultant Dermatologist and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer within the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Dr. Bowling’s main expertise is in diagnosing and treating skin cancer. During his time as Clinical Lead for skin cancer within hospitals in Oxford and his chairmanship of the West Thames Valley Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) for skin cancer, he has pioneered the use of dermoscopy as a diagnostic tool. His work has led to dermoscopy being used widely within the UK to perform mole screening, aiding the earlier diagnosis of melanoma.

Dr. Bowling is the UK board member of the International Dermoscopy Society (IDS), and a regular Faculty Member of the World Congresses of the IDS. His expertise in the field of skin cancer diagnostics is recognized internationally. He was a member of the Faculty at the World Congress on Cancers of the Skin. He is frequently in demand throughout Europe to lecture on using dermoscopy as a diagnostic tool. Dr. Bowling is also the author of Diagnostic Dermoscopy, an award-winning book, shortly going to its second edition.
