Hand and Foot Syndrome – a common side effect of chemotherapy

Outline Hand and foot syndrome is a relatively common side effect of patients undergoing chemotherapy, particularly those taking cytarabine, doxorubicin and 5-fluorouracil (including its prodrug, capecitabine). The condition ranges from paraesthesia affecting the palms and soles to painful blistering and fissures. Patients with this condition may present in the podiatry clin
